SERVICE PROJECTS
The Tucson Breakfast Lions Club supports many service projects ranging from vision screenings for school children to all day camps for disabled & special needs individuals. All this is possible through the fundraising efforts of the TBLC. Below you will find information on many of these projects servicing Tucson and the surrounding areas. Lions Camp Tatiyee is the only organization in Arizona that provides individuals with special needs the opportunity to spend a week away from home in the White Mountains, enjoying activities and meeting new friends, all free-of-charge.
The TBLC supports the efforts of Lions Camp Tatiyee by providing funding in coordination with other charitable organizations within Arizona.
Camp Abilities is a privately funded educational sports camp for children and young adults who are blind, deafblind, or have multiple disabilities including visual impairment. The camp provides sports instruction, adapted to individual needs, and 1:1 coaching for each child. Camp Abilities Tucson serves 25-30 athletes with visual impairments each summer.
The TBLC supports the efforts of Camp Abilities by providing funding in coordination with other charitable organizations in Arizona.
